Thanksgiving

Today I am most Thankful for my wonderful husband, Kevin, my sweet children Nikolai and MaryKate and for Sara, the newest addition to our clan. To commemorate today I went through our pictures and compiled a series of pictures that show how she has grown over the last 10 months. I'll probably do this again at her birthday but enjoy anyways today...

It is hard to believe that in about seven weeks she will be a year old already. She has grown so much this year and is such a fun, loving, happy baby to have.

Happy Birthday Heidi!!!

It was a great birthday!!! Kevin remembered that I LOVE ice cream cake, yum yum yum! We had that for dinner then went to one of our favorite restaurants, Bellagio's, for desert.
Amy came over in the afternoon and threw confetti all over me at the door. Sara was scared at first but then decided little pieces of paper all over the ground was a GREAT idea. She then took me out for ice cream. Thanks Amy!
And, YES, I wanted this vacuum. I've been wanting it for two years now. I was so excited to get it.
And this is why, I had honestly JUST vacuumed, like an hour earlier, but when I vacuumed with the Dyson look at all the dirt it sucked up. MaryKate directed me in this picture and said "Mommy, make this face" and demonstrated. My floor is so clean! I love it!

For those who don't believe that Sara ever cries

I have the best baby in the whole world. She is absolutely perfect. I told everyone that I had such a hellish pregnancy that I'd have a good baby and I was right. But she has her moments. See how long she cries? It was, like, a whole 4 seconds?

One last Zoo picture, deserved it's own post

There is such a funny story behind this picture that it deserved it's own post. Because the Zoo was so busy we had to park very far away, back in the lot that school buses usually go. On the way back to the car I turned right to go up the hill into the lot. Kevin said "That's not the right way" and turned left. I said "You're wrong, we are parked up here." "Uh-uh! I'm going this way!" Was what he responded. "Alright, I'll see you at the car then" I answered and Nikolai and MaryKate very wisely followed me. Well, we got there because we went the right way. We watched the way Kevin had went, knowing there was no entrance and thinking he'd have to back track when we saw him hiking down this tall, desert hill with a sleeping Sara in the stroller. He had to go through rocks and brush and cactus before even getting down to the parking lot. As he's walking towards us MaryKate yells out, "I hope you learned your lesson!!!" I asked her what lesson would that be? "That you should listen to Mommy because she is always right!" She yelled at Kevin.
Kevin had the camera with him and very kindly snapped a picture of us in mock disapproval (we couldn't stop laughing at him but were trying to be serious) so that we could remember this moment forever!

Phoenix Zoo on Veterans Day

We went to the Phoenix Zoo on Veterans Day. It was really crowded but it was so much fun to spend time there with our whole family. Kevin even pushed off work for a day so he could be there too. There was something about the light that day but I got so many good photo's, watch out, this is a long blog...

MaryKate holding up the Wallaby's

Nikolai hatching from an egg

Kevin was so good and got pictures of me, I usually hold the camera hostage and lately he's been taking it away from me.
MaryKate loves the petting farm and wanted to share it with her baby sister

Okay, I just love this picture of my peeps, I snapped this picture then MaryKate and Nikolai were off again, I think this was the only 5 seconds they were sitting still in here.

Me again, helping Sara pet the goat without grabbing his fur.

Kevin showing Sara an animal... again, I LOVE this picture of both of them looking at the same thing, I wish I could remember what it is :(

Obviously this was a really good day for pictures at the Zoo, I'm thinking of using this one for Christmas cards, I know how rare it is to get three smiling kids all looking great all at the same time.

Posing on the frog. We've gone to the zoo regularly since Nikolai was a baby and I have a series of pictures over the years posing on this same frog. I need to put them together to see the progression of our family :)
