The way home

We took our time on the drive back home. We stopped at Bryce Canyon and spent several hours in family fun time. I LOVE this picture of Kevin and Sara. It is actually my desktop picture now. The scenery is so beautiful it almost looks like a fake backdrop. And sweet Sara, Kevin kept her blanket over her head to protect her from the rain.
It was cold and rainy. It was the only time on our whole trip that we used the jackets we brought. We stayed long enough that we got into Kanab in time for dinner. We fed the kids, put Sara in Pajama's and nursed her. Within 30 minutes she was asleep and stayed that way for the rest of the night! Easy traveling!
As you can see, we were totally unprepared for any hiking (notice the nice footwear we all have) so to the kids utter disappointment we only observed from the lookouts and did not take the trails to walk among the scenery. We want to go back though and do some hiking, it is so beautiful there.
