Mother's Day

I was completely spoiled this Mother's Day. Nikolai's card is on the left and MaryKate's on the right. I loved what they said about me. My favorite line from Nikolai's was "she teaches me how to not explode when I have 4 sisters and 0 brothers". My favorite line from MaryKate's card is "Here when I need help with my scratching ant bites".
Kevin totally out did himself this year and bought me a Cricut machine and a ton of accessories to go with it. I've drooled over them but have never seriously considered owning one, it was such a fun surprise. I haven't even begun learning about all the things it can do and I played on it for hours yesterday.

To round off my Mother's Day on my way to bed last night I stepped on a scorpion in the middle of the hall and got stung on the bottom of my toe. Our carpet is the exact color of the scorpions in the area and our hall light is dim. Besides, I wasn't even looking down expecting one! It hurt so bad it kept me up until about 330 this morning. Luckily Sara took a 3 hour nap this morning so I was able to catch up on some of that lost sleep. I must somehow attract them, this is my third time being stung in three years and nobody else has ever been stung here. If it was between me and the kids, I'd much rather it be me to got stung, but honestly, if I had my way, scorpions would be eradicated!
