Helping MaryKate push the craft box down the hall and back into the office. She was so excited when she saw MaryKate pushing it, she crawled across the room as fast as can be and climbed up. She wants to be just like her big sister, I'm glad she has such a great example.Tuesday, September 16, 2008
Lending a Helping Hand
Sara is at that stage where she is very interested in what everyone else in her family is doing and is insisting on "helping" us. It is so fun to watch her interact with all of us. Here she is helping MaryKate with her piano practice. MaryKate is especially patient with her and lets her tag along and teaches her how to do whatever she's doing.
Here, she "helped" her Daddy by pulling off one of the keys on his computer. Whoops. She had it off and in her mouth before I could get her. We have yet to successfully put it back on. (Seriously, has anyone ever tried to get keys off of a laptop? It is so difficult it is surprising that she accomplished this in a matter of seconds)
Helping Mommy with the dishes. Basically helping meant she sat on the door and pulled out the dirty utensils as I put them in, tasting each one before dropping it on the floor for me. She put her new climbing skills into this one though, it's hard to get up here and then even harder to get down without crashing.

Sara is very eco-minded already, here she is helping me by sorting through our recycling bin. I have come to the conclusion over these last couple of days that I need to either accept the fact of recycling trash all over my kitchen floor, buy a bigger bin that she can't reach into, or get Kevin to take it out more often :), just kidding, I need to take it out more often.
