Happy Mothers Day! I am so excited because all my kids are coming to the hospital to visit me today! We have an appointment with a "Child Life Specialist" today. They are employees of the hospital who have degrees in child development. They are the ones who arrange the play rooms and provide activities for the patients but most important they help patients and siblings understand and adjust. The kids will get a tour of the OR and the PICU. They will be explained what to expect Kyle to look like and act like after surgery. They will also have activities to help them feel comfortable.
Todays good news, my milk production is finally up to meeting the demand of all of kyles feedings! I was so excited to see my pumped mL numbers to actually exceed the numbers he takes in Bolus feediings every day.
Todays bad news, Kyle lost weight again. We expected some loss since he had a large poopy diaper yesterday after a large weight gain but unfortunately he is down to exactly 11 lbs... that is until he pee'd, then he was at 10.992 lbs. Its not a big loss but since we are counting in grams, it is significant. I am thankful we won't have to worry about this much longer.
Kyle is scheduled to go into surgery tomorrow morning. I am trying not to think too much about it and I am glad I have a good distraction today. I'm not scared, Kyle received an amazing blessing last week and I am sure he will be fine. But I am concerned. Everyones prayers are felt and so appreciated.

Happy Mother's Day to you, too!
The tour and activities for the siblings sounds soooo great. And how nice to have all of them there for Mother's Day.
=D for your good news, and :( for the bad. Your faith is strong. We continue to pray for Kyle, & all of you. Love, Mom
